🌿 My Story & Why I Started WFHB
I grew up hiding away in books.
When the world felt too big or too loud, I’d sneak into my closet with a blanket, a pillow, a stuffed animal, and a flashlight — and lose myself in the pages of someone else’s story. That tiny space became a sanctuary. A quiet place where I felt safe, seen, and held by the words of others.
As I got older, my love of reading slowly turned into a love of writing. Words that once comforted me became words I wanted to offer to others. I’ll never forget my high school English teacher, Mr. Neumann, who not only taught me how to love writing — but who helped me believe I had something worth saying. He planted the idea that maybe the dreams I buried away weren’t silly. Maybe they were just waiting for me to have the courage to chase them. (He also taught me that green Converse can, in fact, be worn with a suit — a lesson in confidence if I’ve ever seen one.)
And now, Wildflower & Honey Books is the result of that waiting. A long, slow bloom.
The name itself carries so much of my heart.

Wildflower — because faith and creativity often grow in the wild, unexpected places. Because beauty doesn’t need perfect conditions to take root. Because I’ve learned that sometimes the most meaningful growth happens in the cracks.

Honey — for the sweetness that shows up in the struggle. For the joy we find after grief. For the reminder that even in the hardest chapters, God leaves traces of goodness behind.
This little publishing home is rooted in my faith, yes — but it’s also grounded in my love of storytelling as a whole. Not every book I write is overtly Christian, but they all hold something true. Some are tender and poetic. Others are sweeping works of fiction, filled with magic, love, grief, bravery, and hope. But at the heart of each is the same desire: to tell meaningful stories that stir something in the soul.
Wildflower & Honey Books exists for stories that linger. For stories that shine a little light into someone's day.
For the little girl in the closet with a flashlight — and for anyone still searching for a story that feels like home.
